Product Description

The Borla 401663 is a Touring series universal specialty muffler developed for truck, SUV, and any application requiring a long-body muffler. At 7.75 inches in diameter and 29 inches overall length with a 24-inch body, this is the larger-diameter companion to Borla's 6.75-inch specialty muffler line -- sharing the same Touring sound profile and body length while providing additional flow capacity and a deeper tone suited to higher-displacement truck engines. The 3-inch center inlet and outlet accept standard 3-inch exhaust piping, and the reversible design allows the muffler to be oriented in either direction during fabrication.

Internally, Borla's patented straight-through multi-core technology maximizes exhaust velocity and minimizes backpressure while the continuous-filament fiber (CFF) acoustic packing controls sound frequencies for a refined Touring exhaust note -- deep and noticeable without excessive volume. Construction is T-304 austenitic stainless steel throughout with 100% welded seams. The un-notched neck is designed for weld-in installation -- the notched-neck version is available as 401662. Borla 18330 band clamps are recommended and sold separately. Natural mill finish can be brushed or polished prior to welding. Made in the USA. Backed by Borla's Million-Mile Warranty.
