Product Description

The Borla 400938 is a universal CrateMuffler Resonator Option designed for any exhaust system utilizing 2.5" piping. Its primary function is sound attenuation -- reducing overall sound pressure level by 2-3 dB(A) without restricting exhaust flow. The straight-through free flow design ensures no performance loss, making it ideal for builders who want to dial back the volume of an aggressive CrateMuffler system. When paired with the Borla S-Type CrateMuffler, the 400938 brings the combined output to the quieter Touring sound level.

Constructed from high-quality T-304 austenitic stainless steel with 100% welded joints, the 400938 will never rust and is built to last. High-temperature continuous-filament fiber (CFF) acoustic packing provides effective sound damping across a wide operating temperature range. The compact 3.5" x 10" body makes it well suited for tight exhaust routing. Un-notched necks are designed for weld-in installation; clamp-on use requires Borla 18004 3" wide band clamps sold separately. The reversible design allows either end to serve as inlet or outlet for maximum installation flexibility. Natural mill finish can be brushed or polished prior to installation.
