Product Description

The Borla 400855 is an S-Type CrateMuffler purpose-built to optimize the sound and power of Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 crate and custom-built engines. Unlike universal mufflers, the CrateMuffler's directional internal design is tuned specifically for the Coyote engine family, delivering the classic Borla S-Type exhaust note -- moderate to aggressive sound under load with dramatically reduced drone at cruising speeds. The 2.5" offset inlet and 2.5" center outlet configuration with a 6" x 10.34" oval body provides excellent flow in a compact 12" body length package.

Constructed from premium T-304 aircraft-grade stainless steel -- superior to T-400 series alloys like 409 -- with precision CNC manufacturing for consistent quality and fit. The brushed finish body and included mounting endplate bracket allow clean installation with a service-removable hanger system. The muffler is directional -- the outlet side is identified by the mounting bracket welded to the endcap. Intended to be used in a pair for dual exhaust applications. All welding must be made at the inlet/outlet nipples only -- welding to the shell or endcaps will void the warranty. Add optional Borla resonator 400938 to convert the S-Type sound to the quieter Touring level. Made by hand in Johnson City, Tennessee. Backed by Borla's million-mile warranty.
