• Installation may require replacing the rear valance with one from a Mustang with factory quad tips if your vehicle does not already have the quad-tip bumper cutout - refer to Borla's official installation instructions (A-36106) for applicable Ford part numbers

The Borla 140965CFBA is an ATAK Cat-Back exhaust system engineered exclusively for the 2024-2026 Ford Mustang Dark Horse - Borla's most aggressive sound tier applied to the Dark Horse's high-specification 5.0L Coyote V8 platform. The Dark Horse arrives from Ford with a more performance-focused exhaust tune and Active Valve Performance Exhaust as standard equipment; this Borla system is specifically designed around that hardware, including Active Exhaust Valve components that retain the vehicle's factory active exhaust mode functionality through Borla's aftermarket system. Buyers should note that this system is designed for the Dark Horse specifically - it is not interchangeable with the Mustang GT system, which uses different part numbers.

The 140965CFBA is a True Dual 3" system - both cylinder banks of the V8 run in separate exhaust paths throughout the entire system, meeting at a Merge X-Pipe that is included with the kit. The X-Pipe functions as a performance crossover that enables exhaust scavenging between the two banks, contributing to improved mid-range torque, faster exhaust velocity, and an enhanced harmonic quality in the exhaust note. Borla's Polyphonic Exhaust Harmonizer Technology layers on top of this by routing exhaust through a series of pipes with varying diameters and lengths before the gases reach the muffler.
