Product Description

The BMR TCC021H replaces the factory stamped steel transmission crossmember on 1998-2002 LS1-equipped Camaros and Firebirds with a stronger tubular design, purpose-built for owners swapping in a 4L80E automatic transmission. Rather than modifying the stock crossmember to fit a different transmission - which can risk damage to both the crossmember and the transmission - this kit provides the correct mounting solution from the start.

An integrated, height-adjustable torque arm mount lets owners fine-tune the "instant center" for optimal launch and handling characteristics, while the heavy-duty DOM tubing and CNC-formed steel plates eliminate the flex common in factory stamped crossmembers. Note that as shipped, the mount is designed for BMR torque arms - those running a torque arm from another manufacturer will need that brand's compatible bushing to complete the swap.
