Product Description

The BMR KM741R is a Standard Version tubular K-member in Red powder coat for the 1996-2004 Ford Mustang SN95 and New Edge platforms, designed for coilover strut and spring applications. This 100% bolt-in replacement for the heavy factory K-member drops 28.5 pounds from the front of the car -- weighing just 20 pounds compared to the roughly 50-pound factory piece. The significant front-end weight reduction translates directly to improved weight transfer, better traction, and quicker acceleration, making this K-member ideal for drag racing, street-strip, and street performance builds.

Constructed from 1-inch, 1.25-inch, and 1.50-inch DOM steel tubing with 3/16-inch steel plate, the KM741R delivers exceptional strength and rigidity while maintaining its lightweight advantage. The open tubular design provides dramatically increased clearance for long-tube headers, supercharger tubing, turbocharger piping, and aftermarket oil pans compared to the bulky factory stamped steel unit. The K-member uses factory mounting points and retains SN95 steering geometry with no modifications required for fitment. Compatible with any BMR A-arm for coilover setups, or factory A-arms when paired with the optional BMR CSS730 bolt-in spring seat for a traditional spring configuration. Works with both factory and aftermarket engine mounts and steering racks while maintaining stock engine height. Also available in Black Hammertone finish (KM741H).
