Vehicle Fitment

  • 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro 6th Gen (All Trims, All engines, RWD)

Fitment Notes

  • Fits all 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro 6th Generation models across all trim levels and all engine configurations - V6, 2.0T, SS (V8), 1LE, ZL1, and ZL1 1LE
  • Upper trailing arm position - the UTCA059 replaces the rear upper trailing arm, which controls the longitudinal (fore-aft) positioning of the rear axle assembly and manages rear suspension geometry under acceleration and braking loads
  • Single adjustable design - arm length is adjusted by rotating the tube body to thread the rod ends in or out; adjustment requires removing the arm from the vehicle; once set to the correct length, the arm is reinstalled and locked; this differs from BMR's on-car adjustable UTCA060, which can be adjusted in place without removal
  • Sold as a pair (left and right, sufficient for both sides)
  • A wheel alignment is recommended after installation to verify and correct any rear suspension geometry changes
  • Estimated installation time: ~1 hour

Features

  • Manufactured from heavy-duty 1.25-inch DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) steel tubing - dramatically stiffer and stronger than the factory stamped steel trailing arm, which flexes and deflects under the sustained longitudinal loads generated during hard acceleration, braking, and cornering on the 6th Gen Camaro
  • Open end formed from CNC laser-cut, CNC-formed 3/16-inch steel plate - the fabricated plate end provides a precision, high-strength interface at the outer pivot point, replacing the factory rubber-bushed stampings with a rigid, geometry-accurate mounting structure
  • Zinc-plated, two-piece, X-series, heat-treated, chrome-moly, self-lubricating, Teflon-lined rod ends - zero-compliance pivot bearings that allow full suspension articulation without any lateral deflection; the Teflon lining provides self-lubrication for long service life and quiet operation without periodic greasing
  • 304 stainless steel custom-designed rod end spacers - corrosion-resistant, dimensionally precise spacers that correctly locate the rod end laterally within the chassis and axle mounting brackets without shimming or secondary hardware
  • Eliminates upper trailing arm flex - the factory stamped steel upper trailing arm flexes longitudinally under acceleration and braking loads, causing the rear axle assembly to shift position dynamically and producing inconsistent handling, rear-end wander, and imprecise throttle response
  • Eliminates bushing deflection - the factory rubber bushings allow compliance at both mounting points that translates directly into rear axle movement under load; replacing them with Teflon-lined rod ends removes this compliance entirely
  • Single adjustable design allows arm length to be set precisely for the vehicle's specific ride height - essential when the rear ride height has been changed from factory through lowering springs, coilovers, or other modifications, as these changes alter the trailing arm angle and require length correction to maintain proper rear suspension geometry
  • Improves traction, reduces wheelhop, and increases launch consistency - by keeping the rear axle in a geometrically stable position throughout the power application cycle, the UTCA059R reduces the rear axle movement that contributes to wheelhop and inconsistent 60-foot times
  • Improves cornering consistency and handling precision - a rear upper trailing arm that doesn't flex or deflect keeps the rear suspension geometry accurate through corners, delivering consistent understeer/oversteer balance and more predictable throttle response mid-corner
  • Red powdercoat finish provides a bold, high-visibility appearance with durable corrosion resistance
  • Designed for street performance, drag racing, and road racing applications
  • Proudly designed and manufactured in the USA by BMR Suspension

Product Description

The BMR Suspension UTCA059R is a pair of single-adjustable rear upper trailing arms engineered for the 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro 6th Generation. The rear upper trailing arm controls the longitudinal (fore-aft) positioning of the rear axle assembly and plays a central role in managing rear suspension geometry under the full range of driving loads - acceleration, braking, and cornering. The factory stamped steel upper trailing arm with its rubber bushings at both pivot points is adequate for light street use, but under the sustained loads of performance driving it flexes and deflects in ways that allow the rear axle assembly to shift position dynamically, producing rear-end wander, inconsistent throttle response, imprecise cornering behavior, and wheelhop during hard launches.

The UTCA059R addresses all of these issues by replacing the factory stamped arm entirely with a 1.25-inch DOM steel tubular arm whose open end is formed from CNC laser-cut, CNC-formed 3/16-inch steel plate, and whose pivot points use zinc-plated, heat-treated, chrome-moly, Teflon-lined X-series rod ends - zero-compliance bearing pivots that allow full suspension articulation without any lateral deflection. The 304 stainless steel rod end spacers correctly locate the arm within the chassis and axle brackets without secondary shimming. The single-adjustable design allows the arm length to be precisely set for the vehicle's specific ride height before installation - important for builds where the rear ride height has changed from factory, as changes in ride height alter trailing arm angle and can introduce rear axle geometry errors that require correction. For applications requiring in-place on-car adjustment, see BMR's UTCA060R. Finished in red powdercoat and made in the USA by BMR Suspension, backed by a 2-year limited warranty.
