Product Description

The BMC FB156/01 is a direct-fit drop-in panel air filter for the 1997-2008 Porsche 911 Carrera across the 996 and 997.1 generations. It replaces the factory OEM paper element in the stock airbox without modification, delivering up to 40% more airflow while filtering contaminants down to 7 microns - finer than the OEM's 10-micron threshold. Built using BMC's Full Moulding system, the filter is produced from a single mould with no welded joints, ensuring a consistent seal and eliminating structural weak points common in lesser aftermarket alternatives.

Unlike disposable OEM paper filters, the FB156/01 is fully washable and reusable, making it a lifetime investment for 996 and 997 Carrera owners. The filter arrives pre-oiled and ready to install. Re-oiling is required after each cleaning - use only the BMC regeneration kit to maintain filtration performance and protect the warranty. Compatible with all Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera S, Carrera 4S, and Targa variants across both generations; does not fit Turbo, GT2, or GT3 models.
