The BMC FB197/08 is a direct-fit performance panel filter for the Porsche 911 (964), built with BMC's signature multi-layer oiled cotton gauze and full-moulded, one-piece rubber frame - the same construction approach used in the brand's Formula 1 filters. It snaps into the factory airbox with no trimming or adapters, freeing up intake airflow while still filtering particles down to 7 microns, finer than the 10-micron threshold typical of OEM paper filters.

Because the filter is washable and reusable rather than disposable, it's designed to last the life of the vehicle with periodic cleaning and re-oiling using BMC's regeneration kit, recommended roughly every 20,000-25,000 km.
