Product Description

The Bilstein 24-120425 is a B8 Performance Plus rear shock absorber engineered for the BMW E90/E91/E92/E93 3 Series platform -- covering Sedan, Touring, Coupe, and Convertible body styles across model years 2006 through 2013 in both RWD and xDrive configurations. The B8 Performance Plus is Bilstein's dedicated solution for vehicles equipped with aftermarket lowering springs, featuring application-specific valving calibrated to the shorter travel range and increased spring rates of lowered suspension setups. Its 46mm monotube design keeps the oil and gas chambers fully separated, ensuring consistent damping performance without fade, even under sustained performance driving or spirited cornering.

Unlike the B6 series (designed for OE ride height), the B8 Performance Plus is specifically tuned to complement lowering springs, delivering the firm, communicative damping that the E9X chassis demands when suspension travel is reduced. The monotube architecture allows the shock to self-adjust instantly to road surface changes, maintaining tire contact and chassis stability. Sold individually for the rear position -- two are required per vehicle. Spring seat is not included or required for this application. Companion front struts are available separately, and this shock is covered by Bilstein's limited lifetime warranty.
