Product Description

The Bilstein 24-014700 is a B8 Performance Plus rear shock absorber engineered for the Mercedes-Benz W201 (190-series) and W124 (300/E-Class) platforms with sport suspension and lowering springs. Unlike the B4 OE Replacement, the B8 is specifically designed to work in conjunction with shortened sport or aftermarket lowering springs - its reduced rebound travel ensures proper spring preload and prevents the bottoming-out and handling degradation that result from pairing standard-length shocks with lowered springs.

Using a 36mm monotube gas-pressure design, this shock delivers precise, fade-free rear damping that elevates cornering stability and road feedback well beyond what the factory dampers provide. It fits both the driver and passenger side rear position and is sold as a single unit - two are required for a complete rear replacement. This part is exclusively for models with sport suspension and without self-leveling rear suspension. Final torque tightening should be performed with the suspension in the loaded (on-ground) position.
