The Bilstein B6 Performance 35-229872 is a front strut assembly engineered for the MQB-platform Volkswagen GTI, Golf R, Arteon, and Audi A3/S3 family - all without DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control). As a B6 Performance damper, it delivers sport-firmer valving over OE for improved body control, sharper turn-in, and reduced nose dive under braking, while retaining everyday ride comfort. It works with the stock factory spring and can be used with mild-lowering springs; for a dedicated lowered setup, Bilstein's B8 Performance Plus is the better choice.

The 35-229872 fits strut housings with a 55mm outside diameter and bolts directly to OEM mounting points on both FWD and AWD configurations. Two units are required per vehicle - driver and passenger sides use the same part number. It is the ideal first-step suspension upgrade for MQB owners who want noticeably better handling without changing springs or ride height.
