The Bilstein 19-068633 is a B4 OE Replacement rear shock absorber engineered specifically for wagon/estate body variants of the Volkswagen Golf IV, Jetta IV, Bora, and Skoda Octavia Combi built on the PQ34 platform with standard chassis suspension. This is a wagon-specific application - the rear suspension geometry and spring rates on the Estate/Combi differ from sedan and hatchback models, and this shock is valve-tuned accordingly. Ordering the sedan shock for a wagon (or vice versa) will produce an incorrect damping match; always verify body style before ordering.

As with all Bilstein B4 products, the 19-068633 is engineered as a direct OE replacement to restore factory ride quality, body control, and load-carrying stability rather than alter the suspension character.
