Product Description

The Bilstein 22-045744 is a B4 OE Replacement front strut assembly for the 1998-2010 Volkswagen New Beetle, 1999-2006 Golf IV, and 1999-2005 Jetta IV - all with standard (non-sport) suspension. The B4 is Bilstein's direct OE replacement line, engineered to restore factory suspension performance precisely. For MK4 VW owners experiencing increased body roll, vague steering, uneven tire wear, or a noticeably degraded ride from worn factory front struts, the 22-045744 returns the front suspension to factory specification.

The twintube gas pressure design with a 50mm housing, fixed spring seat, and application-specific valve settings bolts directly in place of the factory strut using OE mounting hardware. The OE coil spring, top mount, and bump stop are reused - this is a strut insert replacement, not a complete strut assembly with spring.
