Product Description

The Bilstein 22-113320 is a B4 OE Replacement rear strut assembly for all first-generation Porsche Boxster 986 variants - the 2.5 (1997-1999), 2.7 (1999-2004), and S 3.2 (1999-2004). The B4 is Bilstein's direct OE replacement line, engineered to restore factory suspension character precisely. On the 986's mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, the rear struts play a central role in maintaining handling balance and rear-end composure - worn rear struts on these cars produce noticeably degraded turn-in response and reduced rear stability that the 22-113320 directly corrects by returning damping to factory specification.

The twintube gas pressure design with a 50mm housing, fixed spring seat, and Stem upper / Housing lower mount configuration bolts directly into the factory mounting points using OE hardware. Application-specific valve settings are tuned for the 986 platform's rear suspension geometry and factory spring rates. Note that spacers may be required for certain wheel and tire combinations.
