Product Description

The Bilstein 25-176124 B8 5165 is a universal-fit remote reservoir shock built for custom lifted trucks and SUVs rather than a specific factory application, using the same core technology as Bilstein's bolt-on 5160 series. The remote reservoir dramatically increases oil capacity for improved heat dissipation and damping sensitivity, while a swivel banjo fitting on the reservoir hose allows a full 360° of rotation for flexible mounting on custom builds.

A 46mm digressive piston with a self-adjusting valve reacts instantly to changing terrain, and the floating dividing piston housed in the reservoir keeps piston travel unrestricted for greater wheel articulation. Since Bilstein doesn't market this shock for OEM applications, fitment responsibility falls to the builder - collapsed length, extended length, and mount configuration should be confirmed against the vehicle's suspension geometry before ordering.
