The Bilstein 24-186636 B8 5100 Rear Shock Absorber is engineered for lifted heavy-duty pickup trucks, providing improved damping control, ride quality, and stability compared with standard shocks on lifted applications. Its high-pressure monotube design and velocity-sensitive digressive piston react instantly to varying terrain and load conditions, making it ideal for both street-driven and off-road lifted trucks with enhanced ride height.

This rear shock is specifically tuned for vehicles equipped with moderate rear lift - such as approximately 4" lifts on 1999-2010 Chevrolet and GMC 2500/3500HD 4WD trucks, and around 2" lifts on 2003-2013 Dodge/Ram 2500/3500 4WD trucks. It also supports larger lift ranges (7-9") on 2014-2018 Chevrolet/GMC 1500 4WD models. Built with a corrosion-resistant zinc-plated finish and robust monotube body, this Bilstein shock delivers consistent performance under harsh conditions and heavy loads. Sold individually, a pair of shocks is recommended for complete rear suspension upgrades and balanced handling on lifted pickups.
