Product Description

The Bilstein 24-285780 is a rear B8 5100 shock absorber built specifically for 2013-2025 Ram 3500 4WD and RWD trucks running 2-3" rear lift setups without factory air leveling suspension. With extended piston travel matched to the altered suspension geometry of a lifted 3500, this shock delivers the handling confidence and body control that the stock damper simply cannot provide once the truck is raised. The 46mm monotube gas-pressure design eliminates oil foaming and maintains consistent damping force under the heavy loads and demanding conditions that Ram 3500 owners regularly encounter.

Installation uses OE mounting hardware with no modifications required, making this a straightforward upgrade for lifted trucks used for towing, off-road work, or daily hauling. For trucks at stock height or with only 0-1" of rear lift, Bilstein 24-302326 is the correct application. As with all B8 5100 shocks, this unit is valved on the firmer side compared to the street-oriented B6 4600, which is the intentional trade-off for improved off-road and load-carrying performance.
