Product Description

The Bilstein 25-331905 is a B8 5160 series rear shock absorber for the 2014-2025 Ram 2500 4WD -- compatible with both 6.4L V8 gas and 6.7L Cummins diesel engines across all trims, excluding vehicles equipped with factory air level suspension. The B8 5160 builds on Bilstein's core 46mm monotube platform by adding a remote reservoir that provides increased oil capacity and heat dissipation compared to a standard monotube design. This translates to more consistent damping performance during sustained off-road use -- particularly under repeated large impacts that would cause a conventional shock's oil to overheat and fade.

Valving is velocity-sensitive and digressive, tuned specifically for the Ram 2500 rear application to balance off-road compliance with on-road control. A 360-degree swivel banjo hose fitting allows flexible reservoir positioning during installation, and all reservoir mount hardware is included in the box. The body is zinc plated for corrosion resistance. Sold individually -- two are required per vehicle for a complete rear replacement.
