The Bilstein 22-347879 B4 OE Replacement DampTronic strut is engineered specifically for 997-generation Porsche 911 models equipped with PASM, preserving the factory's electronically controlled adaptive suspension behavior rather than converting to a fixed damper. It fits Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera GTS, and Speedster variants across the 997.1 and 997.2 production run.

Built with Bilstein's twin-tube, gas-pressurized construction, it reduces cavitation and oil foaming compared to some factory dampers, delivering more stable and consistent damping forces during spirited driving - in some cases a genuine improvement over the original equipment it replaces. Since PASM struts are priced and sold per corner, a full front-axle service requires two units, and the corresponding rear strut is a separate Bilstein part number.
