The Bilstein 25-294101 B8 8100 DSA rear reservoir shock is Bilstein's flagship rear damper solution for the 2003-2024 Toyota 4Runner and 2010-2023 Lexus GX460, engineered for enthusiasts who demand race-proven damping performance without sacrificing daily drivability. Built around an oversized 60mm (2.65" OD) monotube body constructed from aerospace-quality billet components, this shock absorber delivers significantly higher oil volume capacity than conventional dampers, enabling exceptional heat management during sustained off-road driving, desert running, or heavily loaded overland expeditions. Where lesser shocks begin to fade under repeated hard use, the 8100's large bore body and remote or piggyback reservoir keep damping forces consistent from the first mile to the last.

The defining feature of the B8 8100 DSA is its externally adjustable Dual Speed Compression system.
