Fitment Notes

• Fits 68RFE-equipped trucks only - Ram 4500 and 5500 use the AS69RC transmission and are not compatible

The BD Diesel 1030373 Protect68 Gasket Plate Kit is the go-to solution for 2007.5-2018 Ram 2500 and 3500 owners running performance tunes or elevated horsepower on their 6.7L Cummins. The 68RFE's stock separator plate and gaskets are known to develop internal cross leaks under increased line pressure, which leads to clutch slippage, degraded shift quality, and P0871 fault codes. BD's custom bonded gasket separator plate solves this by sealing those cross-leak paths far more effectively than stock, while its design allows the transmission to safely build up to 250 psi of line pressure when commanded by a tuner or external module.

This kit is designed for trucks already running or planning to run transmission pressure tuning via EFI Live, HP Tuners, H&S, or a similar TCM programming platform. It does not include a pressure control module - for a standalone solution that requires no tuning, see BD Diesel part 1030362. Installation takes approximately two hours and does not require transmission removal.
