The BD Diesel 1041459 is a complete exhaust manifold kit covering both the driver and passenger sides of the 2001-2016 6.6L Duramax engine in Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks. The stock driver-side manifold on 2001-2006 models is well-known for a pinched internal passage that restricts exhaust flow and creates an imbalance between cylinder banks. BD addresses this directly with a full bore design that opens this restriction and matches passenger-side flow - helping improve turbocharger efficiency, reduce exhaust backpressure, and lower EGTs under load.

Both manifolds are cast from high-silicon ductile iron with walls 65% thicker than OEM, making them significantly more resistant to cracking and warping from the thermal stress of heavy towing and high-performance applications. The driver-side manifold includes a pre-drilled pyrometer port for straightforward EGT sensor installation.
