Product Description

The Banks 42145 is a Ram-Air oiled cold air intake system for the 2003-2007 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 with the 5.9L Cummins diesel. Banks' enclosed Ram-Air housing draws cool, dense air from the fender through large side and bottom inlets before feeding it to the engine through an eight-ply oiled cotton gauze dome filter -- flowing up to 64% better than the factory intake and outperforming competing brands in back-to-back airflow testing. More airflow into the 5.9L Cummins translates to lower exhaust gas temperatures, reduced smoke, more power, better throttle response, and improved fuel economy.

The Ram-Air is the only aftermarket intake for this platform built with 4.5-inch bellows that flex with engine movement, preventing component stress and ensuring a long service life. The oiled cotton gauze filter is lifetime-rated, washable, and reusable. Compatible with all factory sensors -- no check engine lights or tuning required.
