Product Description

The Banks 42132-D Ram-Air Cold-Air Intake System with Dry Filter is a high-flow air intake upgrade designed for 2001-2004 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500 trucks equipped with the 6.6L Duramax LB7 turbo diesel engine. Replacing the stock airbox with an enclosed Ram-Air design, this system draws cooler outside air into the engine for increased air density and improved combustion efficiency. The dry filter element is engineered for durability and extended service intervals compared with many traditional air filters.

With its streamlined housing and large filter area, this intake can improve airflow over the stock setup - helping reduce exhaust gas temperatures, decrease smoke, and support gains in power, torque, and fuel economy. The inclusion of a bellows section allows for engine movement without undue stress on the intake components. Designed as a direct-bolt-on upgrade with all necessary hardware, the Banks 42132-D maintains emissions legality in all 50 states with proper CARB compliance and is an effective way to enhance airflow and performance in early-2000s Duramax diesel trucks.
