Unlike the Touring Edition, the Track Edition omits the tailored rear mufflers and replaces the forward resonator with a straight-through pipe section, delivering completely unfiltered flat-four rumble with enhanced crackles and pops on deceleration and gear changes. The result is a system that is rasp-free but unapologetically loud - AWE is candid that this version is non-returnable for sound preference, so buyers should be certain before ordering. Construction is identical to the rest of AWE's Subaru lineup - handcrafted in-house from 3-inch CNC mandrel-bent, .065"-wall U.S.-sourced T304L stainless steel, TIG welded throughout, and finished with four individually adjustable 102mm diamond black double-walled slash-cut tips engraved with the AWE logo. The system bolts directly to the factory downpipe with no cutting or welding, and AWE's No Check Engine Light Guarantee confirms that no CEL codes will appear on a properly installed, otherwise stock vehicle.
