The AWE 3815-11287 Track-to-Touring Conversion Kit allows FL5 Honda Civic Type R owners with an existing AWE Track Edition exhaust to easily switch to the more refined Touring Edition configuration without purchasing a complete new exhaust system. At the heart of this kit is AWE's patented 180 Technology - an ingeniously designed resonator that cancels drone-prone frequencies through precisely engineered reflection chambers. As exhaust gases flow through the 180 Technology resonator, they pass through strategically located ports into reflection chambers where sound waves bounce off the walls. By controlling the size and location of these ports and chambers, AWE creates a 180-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels problematic frequencies, eliminating cabin drone at highway speeds while maintaining a deep, sophisticated exhaust note. The conversion kit is handcrafted from U.S.-sourced 3" T304L stainless steel with 0.065" wall thickness, featuring CNC mandrel-bent tubing for smooth flow.
