Fitment Notes

• Fits the 3rd generation Toyota 4Runner (N180 platform, 1996-2002) across all trim levels, both engines, and all drivetrain and transmission configurations. The 4-door body and door/window geometry is unchanged throughout the full 1996-2002 production run, including after the 1999 mid-cycle facelift which updated the front fascia, interior, and 4WD system - the door dimensions were not affected.
• Does NOT fit any previous generation Toyota 4Runner. Does NOT fit the 4th generation 4Runner (2003-2009), which uses a completely different body.
• The 2.7L I4 engine (base trim) is available in 2WD/RWD configuration only and was offered through the 1999 model year. The 3.4L V6 is available in RWD or part-time 4WD on all trims throughout 1996-2002. The 5-speed manual transmission was offered on certain RWD and 4WD trims from 1996 through 2000; the manual was discontinued after the 2000 model year, leaving only the 4-speed automatic for 2001-2002.
• The Limited trim from 1999 onward featured Toyota's Multi-Mode 4WD system (with a center differential allowing use on various surfaces); 2001-2002 all 4WD trims got Multi-Mode. All 4WD systems on the 3rd gen 4Runner are part-time, not full-time AWD.
• Outside (tape-on) mount style only. Not compatible with in-channel installation.
