Fitment Notes

• Fits the 5th generation Ford Explorer (CD4 platform, 2011-2019) across all trim levels and drivetrain configurations. The door and window geometry is unchanged throughout the full 2011-2019 production run despite the 2016 mid-cycle facelift and 2018 front fascia refresh.
• Does NOT fit the 6th generation Ford Explorer (2020 and newer), which is a rear-wheel-drive-based platform with different body and door/window geometry.
• The Explorer Sport trim was introduced for the 2013 model year and is AWD only with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6. The Platinum trim was introduced for 2016 and is also AWD only with the 3.5L EcoBoost. All other trims offer FWD standard with AWD optional. This product fits all drivetrain configurations.
• Engine options varied by trim and year: the 3.5L NA V6, 2.0L/2.3L EcoBoost I4, 3.7L V6, and 3.5L EcoBoost V6 were offered at various points across the production run. All engine variants share the same door/window geometry and are confirmed to fit.
• All 5th generation Explorer models use a 6-speed automatic transmission throughout the production run.
• Outside (tape-on) mount style only. Not compatible with in-channel installation (see AVS part #194819 for the previous Explorer generation in-channel version).
