• The Chevrolet Caprice PPV was sold exclusively to law enforcement agencies in North America and was not available for civilian purchase. It is based on the Holden WM/WN Caprice manufactured in Australia on GM's Zeta platform - the same architecture that underpins the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac G8.
• For the 2011 model year, the 6.0L V8 was the only engine available. The 3.6L V6 LFX was introduced as the standard engine beginning with the 2012 model year, with the 6.0L V8 continuing as an option. Both engine variants share the same body and door/window geometry and fit this product.
• All Caprice PPV models are rear-wheel drive (RWD) only throughout the full production run. All are paired with the 6-speed automatic transmission. No AWD or manual transmission was available.
