Fitment Notes

• Fits 2004.5-2007 (second-generation common rail) 5.9L Cummins only. Does NOT fit 2003 or earlier 5.9L Cummins (non-common rail), or the 6.7L Cummins introduced in 2007.5.
• Required when replacing the factory HY35/HE351CW turbocharger with an aftermarket turbocharger that does not use the factory electronic wastegate actuator sensor.
• Not needed if retaining the factory turbocharger or installing an aftermarket turbo that reuses the factory wastegate sensor connector.

Product Description

The ATS Diesel 202-010-2272 is a wastegate solenoid harness jumper designed for 2004.5-2007 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 trucks equipped with the 5.9L Common Rail Cummins. Starting with the 2004.5 model year, Dodge added an electronic wastegate actuator sensor to the factory HE351CW turbocharger's compressor housing - a feature not present on earlier 5.9L Cummins turbos. When upgrading to an aftermarket turbocharger that does not use this sensor, the unplugged factory harness connector leaves an open circuit that the ECM reads as a fault, triggering a trouble code and check engine light.

The ATS 202-010-2272 solves this by plugging directly into the factory engine harness connector to complete the circuit without a sensor present, eliminating the fault code. Installation requires no tools - simply plug the jumper into the engine harness connector and discard the factory sensor. This jumper is a required companion part for ATS Aurora turbocharger kits and most other aftermarket turbo swaps on these trucks. Sold individually.
