Product Description

The ATI 918046 Super Damper Harmonic Balancer is engineered for the 2007-2014 Ford Shelby GT500 equipped with 5.4L or 5.8L V8 engines. This high-performance damper features a 15% overdrive pulley, designed to increase supercharger boost by approximately 3 psi, enhancing engine performance. The 10-rib serpentine supercharger drive pulley is included, along with a removable 6-rib accessory pulley, ensuring compatibility with OEM accessory drives.

Constructed with an aluminum shell and elastomer core, the ATI Super Damper effectively reduces torsional crankshaft vibrations, exceeding SFI 18.1 specifications for motorsport safety. The black zinc chromate finish provides corrosion resistance, ensuring durability under harsh conditions. Laser-engraved 360° timing marks facilitate precise installation, while the 8.125-inch outside diameter and 13 lbs weight contribute to optimal engine balance.

Please note that installation of a new balancer bolt is required, as the factory Ford bolt is torque-to-yield. Additionally, vehicles equipped with the "Track Pack" option that include the factory oil cooler may require modifications to the lower oil cooler hose, deletion of the cooler, or the use of an aftermarket cooler to accommodate the 15% overdrive balancer.
