Fitment Notes

• If not connecting the passenger-side upper control arm or reusing the factory bracket, the key hole slots on top of the truss where keyed tabs would go must be filled with weld
• Check clearances before installing; in rare, extreme cases the truss may contact the oil pan - cycle the suspension fully with bump stop extensions in place before operating the vehicle
• Some grinding and fitment adjustment may be required, as individual axles vary slightly

Product Description

The Artec TJ3001 is a heavy-duty front axle truss built for the Dana 30 low pinion axle found on the 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ and the Grand Cherokee ZJ. Rather than reinforcing only the long axle tube like many competing truss designs, Artec's truss strengthens both tubes with a 1/4" thick top and 10-gauge gusseting, addressing axle flex and weakness across the entire housing rather than just the more commonly targeted section.

This particular version is the truss-only configuration - it doesn't include upper control arm bushings, joints, or keyed tabs, giving builders the flexibility to pair it with their preferred upper control arm solution, whether that's Daystar bushings, Currie Johnny Joints, or the factory setup. If the passenger-side UCA won't be connected to the truss or the factory bracket is being reused, the key hole slots for the keyed tabs need to be filled with weld during installation.

This is a fit for TJ/LJ/ZJ owners running larger tires or serious off-road terrain who want genuine axle housing reinforcement rather than hoping the factory Dana 30 holds up. As with Artec's other weld-on truss components, installation requires real welding skill, some fitment grinding should be expected given natural variation between axles, and clearances should be checked and the suspension cycled with bump stop extensions before driving to rule out oil pan contact.
