Product Description

The Artec JL4504 is a pair of heavy-duty front lower control arm skids built to reinforce the factory JL/JLU front axle LCA brackets, an area that takes a disproportionate amount of abuse from rocks, ledges, and trail obstacles. Rather than leaving the factory bracket exposed and vulnerable, these skids wrap around the joint to shield it from direct impact, protecting both the factory ball joint and any aftermarket replacement running in its place.

Each skid is precision CNC cut and bent from 1/4" mild steel, giving them the strength to take repeated hits without deforming or cracking. The wrap-around design specifically targets the ball joint area, since that's typically where impact damage does the most expensive and hardest-to-diagnose harm on a stock lower control arm bracket.

This is a fit for JL/JLU owners running serious off-road terrain who want genuine protection at a known weak point rather than hoping the factory bracket holds up.
