The ARP 203-6001 is a High Performance Series connecting rod bolt kit for the Toyota 4AGE DOHC and 4ALC SOHC 1.6L engines, covering the AE86/AE92 Corolla and AW11 MR2. Connecting rod bolts are the most critically loaded fasteners in any engine - they cycle between extreme tension and compression loads on every revolution, and a single failure leads to catastrophic engine damage. OEM rod bolts on the 4AGE are not designed for sustained high-RPM operation, and upgrading them is a standard step in any serious engine build.

This ARP kit replaces the OEM through-bolts with 8740 chromoly fasteners rated at 200,000 psi - nearly five times stronger than stock.
