The ARP 203-6002 is a High Performance Series connecting rod bolt kit covering two of Toyota's most widely used four-cylinder engine families: the 3S-GTE 2.0L turbocharged engine (Celica GT-Four, MR2 Turbo, Caldina) and the 22R/22RE 2.4L naturally aspirated engine (Hilux, 4Runner, Pickup, Corona, Coaster). Both engines share the same OEM rod bolt specification, making this a single kit that spans an enormous range of Toyota vehicles and builds. Replacing the OEM rod bolts is a standard step in any serious engine rebuild - OEM hardware is not designed for the cyclic fatigue loads of repeated high-RPM operation, and failure leads to immediate catastrophic engine damage.

These ARP bolts are manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel rated at 200,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment for superior fatigue life.
