The ARP 141-5801 Main Stud Kit is a high-strength hardware upgrade for Mopar 420A engines, specifically tailored for Dodge Neon models from 1995 to 2003 (SOHC/DOHC) and Mitsubishi Eclipse from 1995 to 1999. It replaces the fragile OEM main cap bolts with durable, heat-treated 8740 chromoly studs and 12-point nuts, dramatically improving clamp consistency and reducing the risk of main cap walk or thread damage - especially beneficial for high-stress or rebuilt engines.

Each kit includes 20 studs, nuts, and washers, along with ARP Ultra-Torque assembly lubricant to ensure proper torque application during installation. The J-form thread design and black oxide finish enhance thread strength and longevity. With a tensile strength rating of approximately 190,000 psi, this hardware set is ideal for performance builds or high-RPM engines using the widespread 420A platform.
