Vehicle Fitment

  • Universal - Compatible with all 4WD, truck, SUV, and off-road vehicles using a winch or snatch strap recovery requiring a tree or fixed anchor point

Fitment Notes

  • Wrap the strap around the tree trunk and connect your winch line or recovery strap to both reinforced eyes using a rated shackle - never wrap a winch cable, rope, or chain directly around a tree
  • Position the strap as low on the trunk as possible, where the tree is strongest, to maximize anchor strength and minimize risk of uprooting
  • Inspect the strap before each use; breaking strength is reduced when the strap is saturated with water or damaged
  • For the shorter 10 ft version, see ARB Tree Trunk Protector Strap ARB730LB

Features

  • Protects tree trunks from ring barking (girdling) - eliminates bark stripping damage caused by wrapping winch cables, rope, or chain directly around a tree, preserving the anchor point for future use by you or fellow off-roaders
  • 26,000 lb breaking strength - NATA-approved laboratory tested to ARB's strict specifications for consistent, reliable recovery performance
  • 100% polyester construction - designed to hold firm with no stretch under load, maintaining a stable, predictable connection between anchor and recovery vehicle
  • 16 ft length provides extra reach to wrap large-diameter trees or reach anchor points further from the recovery path
  • High-visibility green color scheme - easy to locate and deploy quickly in dense forest and low-light recovery conditions; improves bystander awareness during active recovery
  • Reinforced eyes - strengthened loop ends for easier shackle fitment and sustained load capacity
  • Eye and seam protector sleeves - shields the critical connection points from abrasion, fraying, and UV degradation for extended service life
  • Designed, developed, and tested entirely by ARB's engineering team
  • Woven and fabricated to strict ARB quality specifications; batch-tested by a NATA-approved laboratory

Product Description

The ARB ARB735LB is the 16 ft Tree Trunk Protector Strap - an essential piece of recovery gear for any winch-equipped 4WD or overlanding build. Wrapping a winch cable, synthetic rope, or chain directly around a tree strips the bark (a process called ring barking or girdling) and can kill the tree while also damaging your equipment. The ARB735LB eliminates both problems: loop it around the trunk, connect both reinforced eyes to your winch hook or recovery point with a rated shackle, and pull. The 26,000 lb breaking strength, NATA-tested construction holds firm under full winch load without stretching, providing a stable, predictable anchor for controlled extractions.

The 16 ft length offers greater reach than the 10 ft ARB730LB, accommodating larger-diameter trees and anchor points set further from the trail. High-visibility green stands out in dense vegetation and low-light conditions for quicker deployment and improved bystander safety. Eye and seam protector sleeves reinforce the connection points against abrasion and wear. Always inspect the strap before use - breaking strength is reduced when saturated. Position the strap as low as possible on the trunk for maximum anchor strength.
