Product Description

The ARB ARB220 is a universal winch cable recovery damper built to protect people and equipment during off-road vehicle recoveries. When placed over the center of a winch line - whether wire rope, synthetic rope, chain, or a recovery strap - it acts as an energy absorber and airbrake. In the unlikely event of a line failure, the damper slows and contains the cable's recoil, drastically reducing the risk of serious injury or vehicle damage.

Manufactured from heavy-duty orange vinyl with silver reflective tape for night visibility and a Velcro closure to prevent slipping, the ARB220 is built to handle demanding field conditions. Its built-in storage pockets are useful for keeping shackles and snatch blocks on hand during recoveries, and the damper doubles as a high-visibility safety vest. It exceeds the minimum weight requirements for 4WD competition use, making it a mandatory staple for any serious off-road recovery kit.
