The CS004RB uses a two-stage progressive pack -- six primary leaves handle unloaded and lightly loaded conditions with a 268 lbf/in spring rate, while two additional secondary leaves engage when the load increases, stepping the rate up to 570 lbf/in for controlled body movement under heavier cargo or towing. This makes the CS004RB a versatile choice for 60 Series trucks that need improved ride quality day-to-day but also carry meaningful loads on trips.

The "-B" designation indicates a lower free camber compared to the "-A" variant, making it the better match for vehicles without heavy constant rear loads such as drawer systems, long-range fuel tanks, or expedition gear permanently installed in the cargo area -- for those applications, the CS004RA or CS005R is more appropriate.
