Product Description

The Old Man Emu CS038R is a Dakar series rear leaf spring for the 1986-1995 Suzuki Samurai, delivering approximately 1.5 in. (40mm) of rear lift at a medium load rating. As part of ARB's integrated 4x4 suspension system, it uses a two-stage leaf pack -- the softer primary stage handles unladen ride quality, while the stiffer secondary stage engages under heavy load. Spring rate is 171/291 lbs./in. reflecting this dual-stage design. Draw-tapered, diamond-cut, and shot-peened leaves progressively distribute stress to reduce breakage risk and extend spring service life. Regreasable nylon anti-friction pads, graphite coating, bolted clamps, and a flat axle seat area round out the construction.
