Part of ARB's integrated 4x4 suspension system, this Dakar series spring features an innovative two-stage leaf pack design with 5+2 leaves that delivers comfortable ride quality when unladen while providing robust support when heavy loads are added. Each spring is draw-tapered and diamond cut to progressively distribute stress over a larger surface area, reducing high-stress concentrations at leaf ends and significantly extending spring life. The tension side of all leaves is shot peened, a process that can double spring longevity. Re-greasable nylon interleaf anti-friction pads minimize friction at high-stress points, while the graphite coating further reduces friction between leaves. The flat axle seat provides positive mounting and reduced stress, and the military wrap design offers added safety.
