Product Description

The AMS Alpha ALP.28.08.0001-3 is the replacement dry media filter pair for the AMS Red Alpha Cold Air Intake system on the 2016-2024 Infiniti Q50 and 2017-2022 Infiniti Q60 VR30DDTT. It is the factory-correct service filter for owners of the ALP.28.08.0001-1 (standard plastic lid) and ALP.28.08.0001-2 (matte carbon fiber lid) intake kits, as well as for Q50 and Q60 owners running the factory Infiniti cold air intake with compatible filter mounting geometry.

The filters use the same dry media construction and integrated bell horn design as the original Red Alpha intake filters. The bell horn geometry - built directly into the filter body - provides a smooth, gradual air transition into the factory MAF housings that eliminates the turbulence responsible for MAF surging, "bucking," and check engine lights common with less precisely engineered intake systems. Routine maintenance requires only compressed air at 30-40 psi blown from the inside out; the filters do not require oil treatment. For deep cleaning after exposure to mud, heavy dust, or other extreme conditions, a mild biodegradable degreaser can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and a minimum of one to two full days of drying before the filter is reinstalled.
