Product Description

The AMS Performance AMS.48.08.0001-2 is a carbon fiber air intake system engineered specifically for the twin-turbocharged S58 engine found across the BMW G8X platform - the M2 (G87), M3 (G80), and M4 (G82). It replaces the factory intake with a 3.5 in. carbon fiber tube and dramatically oversized turbo inlet elbows (up to 128% larger than stock), clearing a direct, unobstructed path of air into the turbos' compressor wheels.

This carbon-lid variant encloses the intake for a clean, finished look while still delivering strong dyno-proven gains - AMS recorded an +86 whp peak increase and an average of +66 whp above 5,000 RPM over stock. For owners who prefer an open-top airbox aesthetic instead, AMS also offers this same intake system without the carbon lids under a separate part number. As with most track-oriented AMS intake systems, this part is not CARB legal and cannot be sold or used in California.
