Fitment Notes

• This is an OBD-II pass-through harness (Y-adapter/splitter) - it is NOT a running board, a conversion kit, or a replacement wiring harness; an AMP Research PowerStep Plug-N-Play system must already be installed on the vehicle for this accessory to serve its purpose
• The 76404-01A is only needed if the OBD-II port must remain accessible for a scan tool, performance monitor, emissions device, or other OBD-II accessory while the PowerStep Plug-N-Play system is connected - if OBD-II port access is not required after PowerStep installation, this harness is not necessary
• This harness is incompatible with RAM and Toyota OBD-II port configurations - RAM owners should order PN 76405-01A; check with AMP Research at 1-888-983-2204 for the correct Toyota harness
• No drilling or special tools are required for installation - the harness plugs directly between the vehicle's OBD-II port and the existing PowerStep Plug-N-Play connector

The AMP Research 76404-01A PowerStep Plug-N-Play Pass-Through Harness is an OBD-II Y-adapter designed to solve a practical problem created by the PowerStep Plug-N-Play wiring system: when the PowerStep Plug-N-Play module occupies the vehicle's OBD-II diagnostic port, that port is no longer available for scan tools, performance tuners, data loggers, insurance telematics devices, or any other OBD-II accessories that may need to be connected. The 76404-01A addresses this by splitting the OBD-II port into two connections - one for the PowerStep harness, and one pass-through port that remains fully functional for any additional OBD-II device.

Installation requires no drilling or tools. The pass-through harness simply inserts between the vehicle's OBD-II port and the existing PowerStep Plug-N-Play connector, adding a second accessible OBD-II port beneath the dashboard in seconds.
