The AMP Research 79110-01A Air Tank Relocation Kit is the Mega Cab-specific prerequisite accessory for installing AMP Research PowerStep electric running boards on 2019-2024 RAM 2500 and 3500 Mega Cab trucks equipped with the factory Active-Level Four-Corner Air Suspension. Like its Regular/Crew Cab counterpart (PN 79109-01A), this kit addresses the conflict between the factory air suspension tank and the PowerStep mounting bracket locations on the frame rail - but it is designed around the unique rocker panel length and frame geometry of the Mega Cab body style, which differs from the shorter Crew Cab and Regular Cab configurations. The two kits are not interchangeable.

On covered RAM 2500/3500 Mega Cab trucks with the Active-Level air suspension option, the factory air tank is mounted to the frame rail in a position that prevents the PowerStep mounting brackets from being installed without first relocating the tank. This kit provides the steel relocation bracket and all necessary hardware to move the tank to a new frame position that clears the PowerStep bracket area, while keeping all factory air lines connected and the suspension operating normally. Trucks without the Active-Level air suspension do not experience this conflict and do not need this kit.

All hardware for the relocation is included in the kit. After completing the air tank relocation, the appropriate PowerStep kit for the 2019-2024 RAM 2500/3500 Mega Cab can be installed using the standard PowerStep installation procedure. The 79110-01A is backed by AMP Research's 5-year limited warranty.
