Fitment Notes

• This kit is an optional 2-inch drop extension accessory for use ONLY with compatible AMP Research PowerStep running boards already installed - it is NOT a standalone running board kit and cannot be used without a compatible base PowerStep system
• Confirmed compatible parent PowerStep kits: 75101-01A, 75104-01A, 75118-01A, 75134-01A, 75138-01A, and 75143-01A
• NOT compatible with PowerStep XL, PowerStep Xtreme, PowerStep Plug-N-Play (76xxx series), or PowerStep Smart Series kits - verify the base kit number before ordering
• Installation requires no drilling and no special tools - the extension arms replace the existing idler linkage arms between the motor linkage and the running board, and installation takes approximately 20 minutes

The AMP Research 75130-01A is a 2-inch drop extension arm kit designed to increase the deployed step height clearance of compatible AMP Research PowerStep electric running boards. The kit is engineered specifically for lifted trucks - Dodge Ram and Ford Super Duty applications where the standard PowerStep deployment drop is no longer sufficient to place the step at a comfortable, ergonomically correct boarding height for the driver and passengers. By installing these four extension arms between the motor linkage assembly and the running boards, the deployed step position is lowered by an additional 2 inches compared to the standard installation, while the retracted position and automatic door-triggered operation remain unchanged.

The extension arms are manufactured from 6063 marine-grade aluminum - a higher corrosion-resistance aluminum alloy grade than the standard 6061 used in many aftermarket parts - with a black powder coat finish that matches the existing PowerStep aesthetics. Full load-bearing capacity of 600 lbs. per side is maintained with the extensions in place. Installation is straightforward: the four arms replace the existing idler linkage pieces and fasten to the same mounting points, requiring no drilling, cutting, or permanent modifications and typically taking around 20 minutes with basic hand tools.
