Product Description

The ALTA Performance AMP-SUS-100 rear adjustable control arms are a direct replacement for the factory rear lateral links on 2002-2013 MINI Cooper models, spanning the full R50, R52, R53, R55, R56, R57, R58, and R59 platforms. Where the stock rubber-bushed links allow alignment-altering deflection under load, ALTA's arms use Teflon-lined, nylon-impregnated spherical rod ends mounted into a CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum body. The result is a rigid, precise rear suspension connection that holds true camber and toe settings under cornering, braking, and acceleration forces. The threaded center section allows a camber range of 0° to -4° and a toe adjustment of +/-2°, and both settings can be dialed in with the arms installed on the car - just loosen the Grade 8 lock nuts and rotate the center section to the target measurement.

This kit is especially valuable for MINI owners who have installed lowering springs or coilovers, as dropping ride height pulls the rear geometry outside the factory alignment window. Rather than fighting negative camber and toe-out with shims, the AMP-SUS-100 provides direct, repeatable, and stable adjustability through a purpose-built arm. The arms are machined without welds for maximum tensile strength, and the weight savings over the OEM steel links reduce unsprung mass at all four corners when two sets are installed. Each set of AMP-SUS-100 includes one pair of control arms (left and right), replacing the upper or lower rear lateral links. MINI owners seeking the maximum adjustment range and the greatest reduction in rubber bushing deflection can order two sets to replace all four rear lateral links simultaneously. Note that vehicles equipped with Xenon HID headlights will require a minor modification to the headlight leveling sensor bracket during install - ALTA's technical department can provide guidance for this application. The AMP-SUS-100 is not compatible with the Countryman (R60) or Paceman (R61) platforms due to differing rear suspension geometry. These arms are covered by ALTA's 5-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
