The 3rd gen Super Duty ran from 2011 through 2016 on the same body structure, and the 880140 is designed to replace the factory headlight assembly with a projector-based housing styled after the 4th generation Super Duty's more angular, modern design language.

The headlight uses dual halogen projectors for low and high beam output, retaining the flexibility to use standard halogen bulbs or upgrade with aftermarket conversion kits. A switchback LED light tube encircles the main projector housing, functioning as the white LED DRL in steady-state mode and switching to an amber LED sequential turn signal when the turn signal is activated. The sequential pattern flows directionally along the LED tube, providing a distinctly modern and premium-appearance turn indication compared to a conventional bulb-based signal.
