The AlphaRex 641040 is the LUXX-Series LED Tail Light set for the 2007-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 and 2007-2009 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 - Black housing, Smoked lens variant. This is a distinct fitment from the 641030 (which covers the 2002-2006 Ram body style); the 2007 Ram received a body and connector update that changed the tail light interface, and the 641040 is purpose-designed for that updated architecture. The overall feature set is identical to the LUXX-Series standard: six LED tubes, amber sequential turn signals, LED diffuser sections between the tubes, a white LED reverse light, and an activation light startup sequence.

The six-tube LED layout provides a noticeably more premium and complex rear lighting signature than the factory incandescent assembly. The tubes illuminate in red for parking and braking, then the amber sequential turn signal flows directionally across the tubes in a dynamic pattern that is significantly more eye-catching and conspicuous than a standard blinker. The LED diffuser lenses between the tubes fill in the gaps with switchable LEDs, expanding the illuminated footprint under braking and signaling - particularly valuable for daytime rear visibility.
